WELCOME! To the journal of the dramatic dancer, Terpsichore. For an amusing and (very) brief description of the spiffy dancer, click here.   In the real world I am known as Erin and actually hate to dance! Yeah... you won't see me rocking out at parties (or going to parties) or doing the Macarena. If you haven't gathered I'm kind of an anti-social person but once you get to know me, I tend to be more social around the ones I know.

In the virtual world I am known as Ilarian at the wonderful community of
Gaia Online and Terpsichore at other places such at my shared website Nine Muses.

My time with Nat yesterday wasn't going to be as dumb as I thought once I started seeing this D&D game in action. Although my favorite RPG to date is a toss-up between Final Fantasy, Xenosaga, and Ragnarok Online I will no longer snub my nose at Dungeons & Dragons. Lets face it--it's pretty much the basis for every other RPG out there. But the reason I say I will not ignore it anymore is... I had fun watching the people participating! Also, I somewhat understood things from the on-again-off-again time I spend playing RO and I ended up starting a character sheet while they were playing. Of course, I needed help filling out some stuff and it's still not finished but I hope to have it done before this Sunday when they meet to play again.

The players involved suggested I start out with a reasonably uncomplicated class, such as Rogue (which is similiar to Thief/Rogue on RO!). I was disappointed since I wanted to play a Druid, however when I made the RO connection after reading up on D&D Rogues I was just as happy to play that class, too. :D I'm really looking forward to this Sunday!

Don't let the title mislead you. Just going to talk about something that just occured in my local library's bathroom that amused me and grossed me out.
  1. Some woman used the facilities and didn't wash her hands. Gross. Now my perfectly clean hands that I washed after I used the restroom has some of that woman's bathroom germies on me. Double gross.
  2. When another flushed, I swear to god that it took forever to flush. Honestly, what was in there... the ocean!?

Ok... so yeah... gross stuff aside... things have been going well. Busy, busy, busy as ever. I got my Comp. II paper back with my grade for my definition essay. *cues drumroll* I got an A+!!! And it happens to be one of the few A+'s my teacher gives out! That's just fucking awesome! I was smiling all the way home. :D I'll post the essay as soon as I can - I'm at the library for now. Perhaps tomorrow if I get a chance after the library and before going out with Nat.

Oh yes... tomorrow I've made plans to go out with Nat and her friend Karl - to his Dungeon and Dragon's game. Yeah, I know laugh all you want. I chuckled a bit myself but I've never seen tabletop games in action before so I'm curious and it's Karl so it's bound to be fun. No worries--I'll post all about it when I get the chance. :D

Had a session with Vicky today with my mom. My dad was absent (we suspect he forgot lol) which I'm a bit glad--I never like discussing things with him. He tends to go all "lawyery" and lectures rather than talk to me. But that's pretty much him in a nutshell. He can't "just talk." Anyway, when he's mad and lectures he has this annoying tendency to make me feel like the lowliest and stupidest dirt ever. Thankfully, though, that hasn't happened the last few times we've met with Vicky. But, since things in school have been going so well how I interact with my dad has gotten better. I don't make a snappy replies when he asks me how I'm doing which is a good improvement. The only thing that still needs work is setting aside time to do a chore a day so I'm not running around the house trying to do them all on Friday before 5 PM. That'll be my goal for this week--at least do one or two a day versus all at once.

Yeah, I just bombed my math test. Rates, ratios, and proportions suck ass. Trying to find the fucking unit rate sucks ass. The whole thing in general sucks ass, yet it's necessary to certain aspects of ones life (like finding out if the grocery store is cheating you on canned goods). Sigh. Whatever.

Got some RPing in with Leeloo yesterday to introduce a new character for Yuugure. Fun times. Not much else went on except I tried playing CakeRO

I have an idea for a RO based RP that I've had for a while. I'll need to discuss it with a few people and see if anyone on Nine Muses would be interested. Well... that's it for now.
while trying to RP with Leeloo. It didn't work very well so I just concentrated on RPing. lol
